A wild and wicked storm hit Chicago on Thursday afternoon with winds up to 70 mph, tons of rain, and intense lightening that touched down in many places. This unexpected tornado-like storm left 310,000 people without power, me included. I was without power all weekend longing, meaning no blogging, no lights, no fridge, no hot water, but thankfully Aaron was a dear and let me stay with him for a change. The storm did a lot of damage, knocking over and uprooting trees, taking out power, some roofs were ripped off and debris was everywhere. Here are some photographs I took after the storm.
The storm also created a very interesting sky, with unique dark clouds which were ominous and intense. Here are some shots I took while enjoying the beauty a storm can leave behind.
