rooftops

i have always loved architecture - so much so that i thought i was destined to become an architect. however hearing the horror stories of long nights in the architecture building and science and physics made me rethink that dream. instead i dreamed of designing logos, ads, and magazines and photographing the world. so it isn't odd that in my photography i gravitate towards buildings and structure (you can see this in all my travel photos). lately i have been fascinated by the rooftops of homes in my neighborhood. as i take the el to and fro, we snake above the ground and are eye level with the peaks of buildings. it gives you a different, almost bird's eye, view of the structure.

here are some shots of rooftops near my home taken one day after a storm.

Jess, Mom and I were looking at these rooftops and clouds and they are cool. As we scrolled down this one the photo changes as you expose more of the house and we had fun with that.
Mom wants to know - When are we going to paint our skies?
